Victor Sterling, Skye’s cousin, stepped out of the corner. He was sweating.
“Skye, be reasonable,” he said. “We’re family. You can’t send your own aunt to prison p>
Skye glanced at the bodyguard behind Victor. The guard took a step forward, and Victor shrank back.
“Family doesn’t steal from family,” Skye said. “Here’s the deal. You sign over your shares in Sterling Corp—all of them—and you leave the country. Tonight. If I see either of you in this city tomorrow, I hand this ledger to the FBI p>

Skye waited until they were gone. Then she looked at Liam.

He stood in front of her, dripping wet. With his good hand, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box.
He opened it. Inside was a massive diamond ring. Not the one he had given her—that one was at the bottom of the ocean. This was new. Bigger. Flawless.
“I wanted to give this to you,” Liam said, his voice trembling. “To start over. I know I messed up. I know I broke everything. But I can fix it, Skye. I’ll spend the rest of my life fixing it p>
