Looking at Naomi, who was now clinging to composure, Matthew knew that pushing harder might only make things worse.
If Naomi went back to see his grandfather again, then this entire meeting would have been pointless. Worse, it would upset Robert, which was the last thing his health needed.
Besides, he didn’t want to damage the Stewart family’s long–standing ties with the Hamiltons over this.
Although he had initiated the end of the arrangement, he hadn’t expected Naomi to be so deeply attached. It seemed he would need to find another way to handle the situation.

Arabella looked at him, noticing a resemblance to Alfred, and knew this must be her eldest brother Florence had spoken of.
“Frank…” she said, the address feeling a little unfamiliar.
She’d only gone upstairs for a short nap. How was Frank already home?
“Arabella, since it’s our first meeting and I wasn’t sure what you’d like, I took the liberty of ordering a helicopter for you. I hope it’s to your taste,” Frank said casually.

“Arabella, come with me to see if you like it,” Florence said, taking her daughter’s hand and leading her outside.
Arabella stepped out onto the front portico. On the estate’s private helipad sat a sleek,
elegantly designed helicopter, its smooth lines gleaming under the sun. The initials “AH” stood out boldly on its side.
The rotor blades, now still, caught the light, giving the machine an exciting, almost joyful presence—the kind that made people want to claim it as their own.
It was a stunning sight.
