“Arabella, once you get your license, I want to be your first passenger,” Florence said, her eyes full of affection.
“Of course, as long as you trust me,” Arabella replied gently, warmed by her mother’s encouragement.

“Come on, let’s go back inside,” Florence added, leading Arabella toward the house.
Frank followed.
“Arabella, are you settling in well here?” Frank asked, a note of genuine concern in his voice.
“Yes, everyone has been very kind,” Arabella answered politely.
“Good. If you need anything, just let me know,” Frank said. His usually cool, businesslike demeanor softened noticeably, and his gaze held a new, gentle warmth when he looked at her.

“I heard you visited our grandparents. They must have been delighted to see you,” Frank said, turning to his mother.
Even though he hadn’t been there, he could easily picture how overjoyed they must have been.
“They were. Your grandparents were just thrilled. Arabella was so thoughtful–she brought them gifts and even managed to get your grandfather to cut back on his pipe,” Florence said, her eyes brightening as she mentioned the latter.

“Yes, isn’t she remarkable?” Florence said, her tone full of pride.
A faint smile touched Frank’s lips. “All our years of trying, and it was Arabella who finally got through to him. That’s impressive p>
“Arabella, how did you manage it?” Frank asked, raising an eyebrow with genuine curiosity. “It wasn’t anything special. I just shared my concern for his health,” Arabella said casually.

“Just concern?” Frank frowned slightly. They had all expressed concern before–why did hers

Seeing Arabella downplay it, Florence spoke up, “Arabella is being modest. She’s trained in medicine. She checked your grandfather’s pulse and explained how the smoking was affecting him. Seeing his granddaughter so worried about him, he decided to cut back p>
“Arabella has medical training?” Frank’s eyes narrowed thoughtfully at the news.
“Given your age, you must be around Naomi’s stage. Did you study pre–med?” Frank asked, his gaze attentive.
“I’m already in my clinical placement. I trained under a mentor in alternative medicine. Frank, you just got back–would you like to go rest?” Arabella always felt Frank’s eyes were too perceptive and worried he might probe further. She quickly changed the subject, sounding concerned.
But Frank didn’t take the hint. “I rested on the flight.
“I didn’t realize you were already in placement. Do you have career plans? I could help arrange something,” Frank offered.
Hearing this, Arabella suspected he, too, was about to offer her a company. She replied immediately, “No need. I’m quite busy with what I’m doing now p>
She really couldn’t accept any more gifts. Between the two companies already entrusted to her and her own commitments, she didn’t want to spread herself any thinner.
Florence caught Frank’s meaning and said with a smile, “You don’t know–your grandfather and father have already placed two companies under Arabella’s oversight. She’s extremely busy at the moment. You don’t need to worry about her career right now.
“Besides, Arabella is also the consulting physician for Robert Stewart,” Florence added warmly.
“Mom, please,” Arabella said, feeling a little embarrassed.
In front of someone like Frank–a seasoned CEO–she felt her own accomplishments weren’t worth highlighting.
“Really? I hadn’t realized Arabella was so accomplished. Managing two ventures and seeing patients right out of training. It seems you were even more advanced than Naomi at the same stage,” Frank said, his eyes holding clear admiration as he praised her openly.
