She had originally thought that if she could secure this design project, she might have a chance to be near Matthew, or at least see him more often.
Ruby smirked. “If you just want to see him, that’s simple. Send the invitation for your birthday party. You’ll definitely see him then.”
“But… he doesn’t exactly welcome visits to his company,” Naomi said, looking troubled.
Ruby laughed. “Send it to Stewart Manor then. His grandfather is there. Matthew will have to show him some respect, won’t he?”
Naomi bit her lip lightly, thought for a moment, and nodded. “Alright, I’ll go tomorrow.”
“That’s more like it. Opportunities are things you have to create for yourself,” Ruby said smugly, raising an eyebrow.
“Ruby, thank you. You’re the only one who’s truly good to me right now,” Naomi said, taking Ruby’s hand.
“Naomi, don’t say that. You’re the only one who looks out for me now, too. We’re in the same boat,” Ruby sighed.
Naomi stood up. “Come on, let me treat you to a nice dinner.”
“Great!” Ruby’s eyes lit up instantly. “And after that, let’s go shopping, okay? I saw a diamond necklace last time that would look perfect on you.”
“Let’s go take a look. If you like it, I’ll get it for you.”
“Thank you, Naomi!”
The next morning, everyone came downstairs for breakfast and saw Arabella coming out of the kitchen holding an insulated food container.
“Arabella, what’s that?” Florence asked curiously.
Ethan and Alfred looked over as well.
“Some bone broth, prepared for my friend,” Arabella explained.
“Are you going to the hospital? I can give you a lift later,” Alfred offered.
Arabella shook her head. “It’s fine. I’ve already picked up my car”
“Oh, I hadn’t noticed that,” Alfred said. “In that case, just drive yourself. Call me anytime if you need anything”
“Okay,” Arabella agreed.
Once the family was seated, breakfast was served.
“Arabella, the market analysis report from the marketing team is ready I’ll have Chloe send it to you,” Ethan said
“Sure, that works,” Arabella replied, a smile in her eyes. “That’s the last piece we need. Once I forward it to Andy, we just wait for the bid results.”

“Grandfather and Dad entrusted the pharmaceutical company and the new plant to me. Of course, I need to show them results as soon as possible to put their minds at ease,” Arabella said with a light laugh.
Jonathan glanced up at her. “Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. We trust in your ability. Just do your best–the outcome itself isn’t what matters most.”
Arabella raised an eyebrow slightly. “But my goal from the start was to make the pharmaceutical company and the plant the benchmark in the industry.”
When she committed to something, she aimed to make it the best.
Jonathan’s eyes filled with pride. “Well said. Your grandfather and I didn’t misjudge you.”
“Of course. Ethan is an investment prodigy. The fact that he endorsed Arabella’s project proves she has what it takes,” Alfred chimed in.
They never doubted Ethan’s investment instincts, so they all knew Arabella was capable.
‘I wouldn’t call myself a prodigy. The real genius is someone else,” Ethan said, a hint of admiration in his eyes. “I’d really love to meet him one day.”
‘Who? There’s actually someone in the investment world that Ethan looks up to?” Alfred asked, curious.
‘Marla,” Ethan said casually.
‘Pfft–cough, cough…” Arabella choked instantly and couldn’t stop coughing.
Why was Ethan interested in Marla, too?
‘Arabella, easy now,” Florence said, handing her a napkin with concern.
After finally catching her breath, Arabella took a few sips of water to calm herself.
Are you alright?” Alfred asked, concerned.
Arabella shook her head. “I’m fine. Maybe I drank the water too quickly just now.”
Ethan, however, looked at Arabella with a curious gaze. Did she get a little excited when she heard Marta’s name?
“Arabella, do you know Marla?” Ethan couldn’t help asking.
The corner of Arabella’s mouth twitched slightly. Does everyone have to be so sharp!
“Do you know her?” Alfred also grew curious
Arabella shook her head, her expression serious. “No, how would I know him?”
“That’s true. How could Arabella possibly know someone like that?” Florence said, looking at Ethan “Why would you think Arabella knows such an influential person?”
Ethan rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. “No reason, just a passing thought.”

“Ethan, you must be overthinking it,” Naomi said gently. “Given where Arabella lived before, she wouldn’t have had the opportunity to meet someone like Marla.”
Arabella raised an eyebrow. “Do you know her?”
“No,” Naomi explained. “It’s just that from what Ethan said, he’s very accomplished. Since even Ethan admires him and has never met him, of course I haven’t either.”
The implication was clear–she hadn’t even met him, so there was no way Arabella could have.
“Oh, from your tone, I thought you had met him.”
