Chapter 132 A Secret Dinner Interrupted

Hearing Matthew’s retort, Arabella couldn’t mask her irritation. “I wasn’t exactly eager to come here in the first place. You insisted. Now I’ve given you the most appropriate treatment plan, and you’re questioning it.
“Whatever. I’ve told you what to do. Follow it or don’t–it’s up to you.” With that, Arabella stood and walked out of his private lounge without a backward glance.
Watching her leave in clear annoyance, Matthew was left equally bewildered.
From his perspective, she hadn’t properly addressed his concerns. He had merely asked a few questions, and she had stormed off looking offended.
What an impossible woman.
Meanwhile, in the great room of Cloudrise Manor, Florence was growing increasingly anxious waiting for Arabella to return.
Naomi, who had attended the same flight training, had been home for quite some time, but there was still no sign of Arabella.
Where could she have gone?
Just then, Naomi came back downstairs.
“Naomi, do you have any idea where your sister went?” Florence asked, her voice thick with concern.
“No, I don’t. She hasn’t come back yet?” Naomi replied, looking genuinely unaware.
“Not yet. I’ve tried calling her, but she isn’t answering her phone either. Is the flight school very far away?” Florence’s tone grew more urgent.
“It’s not that far. But she left the academy before I did.
“Actually, she should have been home a while ago. The drive back isn’t that long.
“Mom, when you call, does it just ring out, or go straight to voicemail?” Naomi inquired.
“It just rings p>
“Maybe she didn’t hear it. Try calling again,” Naomi suggested.
Florence took out her phone and dialed Arabella’s number once more.
After letting it ring for a long moment, she looked at Naomi helplessly. “Still no answer p>
Naomi murmured, almost to herself, “Not answering at all… I hope nothing’s happened to her p>
Hearing Naomi’s words, Florence felt a heavy weight settle in her chest, making it hard to breathe.
Seeing her distress, Naomi quickly guided her to sit on the sofa. “Mom, don’t panic. It was just a thought. I’ll call Ethan right now and ask. Maybe she left with him p>
With that, Naomi pulled out her phone and called Ethan.

“Naomi, what’s up?” Ethan’s voice came through the speaker.

In a slightly rushed tone, Naomi asked, “Ethan, is Arabella with you? She’s still not home, and she isn’t answering her phone p>
“Arabella isn’t with me. Wasn’t she with you?” Ethan responded, sounding surprised.
“No, she left right after her session finished. We didn’t wrap up at the same time.
“So she’s not with you either? Do you have any clue where she might be?” Naomi pressed, layering concern into her voice.
“I’m not sure. Try not to worry too much. I’ll have some people start looking,” Ethan said, his tone shifting to one of calm authority.
“Okay. Please let us know the moment you hear anything,” Naomi replied.
“Will do.” Naomi ended the call.
“Well? Is she with Ethan?” Florence asked, her eyes searching Naomi’s face.
“She’s not. But Ethan has people searching. He told us not to worry.” Naomi did her best to soothe Florence’s spiraling anxiety.
The news that Arabella wasn’t with Ethan only made Florence more frantic.
“If she’s not with Ethan, then where could she possibly be?” Florence said, too restless to stay seated.
“I should call Frank.” Florence picked up her phone again, scrolling for Frank’s contact.
“Mom, maybe Arabella just went out with friends. She could be having a great time and didn’t hear her phone over the noise.
“I’m sure she’ll come back when she’s done. Let’s not alarm Frank yet, or he’ll just start worrying too,” Naomi advised earnestly.
In her view, it was simply a case of Arabella being out late. There was no need to involve the whole family.
For all she knew, Arabella was out somewhere, completely carefree.
Considering Naomi’s words, Florence hesitated, then set her phone down again.
“You might be right. Maybe she left her phone in her bag. I’ll try calling again a little later.” Florence seemed to force herself to relax slightly.
“Exactly. Besides, Ethan has people on it. Let’s just wait here patiently.” Naomi continued her reassurances.
Internally, however, she felt a sharp pang of resentment toward Arabella for causing this stir,
Elsewhere, Arabella was meeting Colton at an upscale downtown restaurant.
“It’s pretty late. What’s so important?” Arabella asked, looking at Colton across the linen–draped table.
“I do have some good news.
“But first, aren’t you going to order me some dinner? A growing boy needs to eat,” Colton said, putting on an exaggeratedly pitiful
face.
Seeing his act, Arabella remembered her earlier promise to treat him to a proper meal.
