He took Harper’s hand, and they began browsing slowly through the store.

When they reached the front window area, Dylan suddenly caught sight of a familiar figure outside on the sidewalk.
“Arabella?”
Thinking his eyes might be playing tricks, he looked more closely. “It really is her.”
“What is it, Dylan?” Harper turned toward him, hearing his mutter.
“I just saw Arabella,” Dylan said.
“Arabella? Where?” Harper immediately glanced out the window.
Dylan pointed subtly in her direction.
Following his gesture, Harper indeed spotted Arabella.
Then she asked the obvious question, “And who is that man with her?”
“Look at that suit–probably custom–tailored. Some rich guy, for sure.”
“Come on, let’s follow them and see,” Dylan said a hint of eager gossip in his tone.
“But what about the supplements we came for?” Harper asked.
“The supplements will still be here; we can come back.” With that, he took Harper’s hand and quietly slipped out of the store, trailing a safe distance behind Arabella and her companion.
“What kind of supplements is my grandfather actually cleared to take now?” Matthew asked Arabella, his expression unreadable.
“Matthew, did you really need to drag me out here for this?” Arabella shot him an annoyed look.
“Of course. You’re his primary physician. If you weren’t here, how would I know what’s appropriate for his current condition?
“So, what do you recommend?” Matthew pressed
“Nothing,” Arabella replied, unwilling to engage further.

“Harper, quick–get your phone out. Get pictures of Arabella arguing with that guy.” Dylan urged in a low voice.
He had been looking for a way to get back at Arabella, and now this opportunity had fallen right into his lap.
He was determined to make the most of it. Photos of Arabella in a heated discussion with some wealthy man could be used to stir up real trouble online…
He’d get the court of public opinion to condemn this vicious woman who had hurt him and Harper, and who was now clearly cozying up to another rich man!
“Okay,” Harper replied, more than eager to participate. She immediately pulled out her phone, aimed it at Arabella and Matthew, and snapped a photo.
“Get a few more,” Dylan whispered.
“On it,” Harper said.
Faced with Matthew’s calm persistence, Arabella telt utterly exasperated. Why was he being so difficult.
Fine, she was done arguing. With an impatient wave of her hand, she said, “My professional opinion is that Robert doesn’t need any supplements.”
Seeing Arabella’s annoyed expression and her continued refusal to give a straight answer.

He simply said, “Then just stay with me,” and strode into a nearby high–end wellness store.
Dylan and Harper stealthily followed them inside.
Matthew scanned the shelves of supplements. “That one,” he instructed.
Andy immediately moved to retrieve it.
“Wait, let me see it first,” Arabella said reluctantly stepping forward despite herself.
Andy glanced at Matthew, who gave a slight nod
Andy handed the bottle to Arabella.
After reading the long list of additives and fillers on the label, Arabella rolled her eyes at Matthew. “You want to give him this? Seems like you’re hoping to set his recovery back.”
She handed the bottle back to Andy.
“Ms. Hamilton, you can’t say that about Mr. Stewart! He only wants-” Andy began to defend his boss, but Matthew raised a hand to cut him off.
“Then tell me which ones would be suitable,” Matthew said, a faint, almost imperceptible smile touching his lips.
This, after all, had been his goal–to get Arabella involved in the selection.
“I don’t know,” Arabella replied, wanting to be done with the whole thing.
“Alright, I’ll keep looking then,” Matthew said, not pushing further, and continued down the aisle.
Hiding behind a display of protein powders, Dylan and Harper finally got a clear, unobstructed view of the man with Arabella–it was Matthew.
“Dylan, do you see that? The man with Arabella. He looks like…” Harper’s eyes widened in recognition.
“Mr. Stewart from Horizon Corp! I see him,” Dylan said, equally shocked, watching their every interaction closely.
“Take more pictures, quick,” Dylan reminded he, his own phone already in hand as he started snapping photos as well.
He never imagined he’d witness Arabella and Matthew together like this again.
