Arabella was about to politely decline, thinking it too significant a responsibility.
But hearing Jonathan’s words, Ryan immediately agreed beside him. “I think Jonathan’s idea is excellent. Arabella can certainly handle it. Since you’re entrusting her with the company, I’ll add one of our pharmaceutical production facilities to her oversight. Let her manage both p>
At that moment. Arabella felt as though she had barely addressed one matter before another arose. She hadn’t even managed to dissuade Jonathan, and now Ryan wanted to give her a manufacturing plant!
She had only come to meet her grandparents. All she did was check Ryan’s pulse and suggest he cut back on smoking. How had it suddenly turned into them offering her a company and a factory?

She knew the Hamilton family was well–off, but this was the first time she’d seen elders offer a company and a production site as a welcome gift.
Hearing that her father and grandfather intended to hand over both to Arabella, Naomi, who had been sitting quietly, felt a sudden, sobering jolt.
She looked at them with visible confusion.
Arabella had merely checked Ryan’s pulse–she didn’t even hold a medical license. Why would they want her to manage a biotech firm and a manufacturing facility?
Naomi herself had studied for years before gradually learning to run her small design firm.
Arabella was the same age and was presumably still an undergraduate. She definitely wouldn’t know how
the to manage operations of that scale. The biotech venture and the production plant were among Hamilton Group’s significant holdings.
The reason her brothers–and she herself–hadn’t pursued managing them was that pharmaceutical manufacturing wasn’t something just anyone could oversee. Everything related was highly regulated and left no room for error. Someone without proper training simply couldn’t handle it.
What made Arabella qualified to manage both at once?
Just as she was wrestling with these thoughts, she glanced over and noticed Arabella also wore a reluctant expression.
Probably, Arabella didn’t know how to decline her father and grandfather’s generosity and was feeling cornered.

Thinking that, Naomi decided to step in and help. She ventured gently, “Grandpa, Arabella has only just returned and is still in college. She probably isn’t ready to take on something like running a company yet. Maybe it’s better to let her focus on her studies first, and then later…

“Arabella, where are you doing your placement?” Naomi asked, curiosity tinting her tone.
“I was at a design studio, but I just left,” Arabella replied. She thought it better not to elaborate.
After all, Jonathan had just offered her a biotech company. If she mentioned he was also planning to give her a design firm, Naomi might think she was showing off. She didn’t want to appear to be flaunting anything.
“Why leave so soon after starting? Was the work too demanding?” Naomi asked with apparent concern.
For a college student to leave a placement early, besides not handling the pressure, it could also point to a lack of readiness.
But given that Arabella was now the darling of the family elders, Naomi thought better of suggesting any lack of ability.
Arabella glanced at Naomi. Why did she have so many questions?

Now that Arabella was back, and the family was still keeping her close, she ought to be grateful.
