In the car, Andy reported to Matthew, “The man with Ms. Hamilton earlier is indeed her brother–but not from the Hamilton family. According to the records, he belongs to the Macdonald family p>
“The same Macdonalds who just filed for bankruptcy?” Matthew confirmed.
“Yes p>
It seemed Arabella was fairly close to this member of the Macdonald family.
“Did Marla take any action before their collapse? Matthew inquired.
“From what I’ve gathered, Marla quietly pulled out her investment stake just before the bankruptcy. The withdrawal appears to be nearly complete,” Andy reported.
A faint, knowing smile touched Matthew’s lips. “It seems she saw it coming p>
“I want to recruit that person–at any cost. She will work for me,” Matthew said, his admiration for Marla’s foresight growing.
He was convinced Marla was a rare talent in the world of finance.

In the hospital room, Edward looked at Arabella and said, “You’ve been running around all day. You should head home and rest p>
“I’ll stay a bit longer. It must be lonely here by yourself,” Arabella replied. She didn’t want to leave him with no one to talk to.
Edward offered a weary smile. “It’s fine. I can watch TV or sleep. You should go p>
Seeing his insistence and feeling her own fatigue, Arabella relented. “Alright. What would you like to eat tomorrow? I’ll bring it by p>
“I don’t really have an appetite,” Edward admitted. Nothing appealed to him right now.
“Please try not to dwell on the family’s situation Bankruptcy isn’t the end–they won’t be in physical danger. After years in business, they must have put something aside. Their day–to- day life won’t change drastically.
“What matters now is your health. If you wear yourself down, who will look after you?
“Just focus on resting. Leave the rest be,” Arabella said, her concern evident.

“I understand,” Edward said softly, touched by her care.
“Okay, I’ll head out then,” Arabella said, rising to leave.

“Don’t just tell me to rest–you take care of yourself too. Go home and get some proper sleep. Don’t worry about me,” Edward said, his eyes warm with affection.
“I will. Bye,” Arabella replied before stepping out.
Once in her car, Arabella suddenly remembered her scheduled flight lesson.
She checked the time–it was too late to go today.
She took out her phone and texted the instructor Frank had arranged. “Can’t make it today. Will reach out to reschedule p>
Then she set off for home.
On the way, her phone rang. Seeing it was Florence, she answered.
“Mom, I’m on my way back. Is everything okay?” Arabella guessed Florence was just checking in.
“Oh, nothing urgent. I just wanted to know when you’d be home. Naomi mentioned she’d wait for you to go to your flight lesson together,” Florence explained, relieved to hear Arabella was already driving back.
“She can go ahead. I’m too tired today–I won’t be going,” Arabella said.
“Alright, I’ll let her know. Drive safely, dear,” Florence said before hanging up.
Arabella couldn’t help but wonder about Naomi. She knew where the lessons were held–why did she need to wait? They weren’t that close.
About an hour later, Arabella pulled into Cloudrise Manor.
Florence greeted her as she entered. “You’re back. Come sit with us p>
Arabella joined them in the living room. “Mom, Dad–what are you both still doing up p>
“Waiting for you,” Jonathan said.
“Arabella, you’ve been going nonstop lately. Make sure you’re looking after yourself,” Jonathan added, his gaze gentle.
“I will. Did you wait up because you needed to tell me something?” Arabella asked.

“Well, seeing how busy you’ve been, I’ve arranged for an interim manager to oversee the pharmaceutical company for now. When you have time, you can visit and make any changes you see fit,” Jonathan explained.
“Thank you, Dad. I really couldn’t handle it alone right now,” Arabella admitted gratefully.
“Arabella, did you visit your brother from the Macdonald family earlier?” Florence guessed.
Florence knew Arabella had returned from the hospital once, then saw her leave again later. She assumed it had to do with the Macdonalds, given the news.
She understood Arabella might still be concerned, though she hoped she wouldn’t get too involved.
“Yes. Edward wasn’t feeling well, so I took him to the hospital,” Arabella said, keeping the earlier conflict to herself.
“Is he alright?” Florence asked.
“He’s stable. I got him settled in a room to rest,” Arabella replied.
“Also, I’ll probably be at the hospital quite a bit over the next few days. I may not make it home for dinner sometimes–please don’t wait for me,” Arabella told them.
